Works under direct supervision, performs technical, surgical scrubbing skills and responsibilities during operative procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Utilizes proper technique when lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients for patient and staff safety
- Ability to maintain calm in emergency situations
- Provides basic, bedside care including proper positioning of the patient for surgery
- Provides for accurate care and handling of surgical specimens
- Inventories all items both pre and post surgery
- Utilizes excellent customer service standards and Studer principles in communicating with patient, family, coworkers through use of verbal amenities, pleasant facial and body expressions as well as pleasant voice tone
- Participates in departmental QA PI process and patient experience initiatives
